每到11月，就會開始看到大家配戴紅花(poppy flower)，因為11月11日是加拿大的國殤紀念日。
國殤紀念日（英語：Remembrance Day）訂立於每年的11月11日，為一個紀念在第一次世界大戰、第二次世界大戰和其他戰爭中犧牲的軍人與平民的紀念節日，又譯「和平紀念日」、「陣亡將士紀念日」。第一個國殤日於1919年在整個大英國協舉行，原稱「停戰日」（Armistice Day），於1919年11月7日由英王喬治五世創立，紀念第一次世界大戰於1918年11月11日上午11時結束。不同的地方對節日有著不同的稱呼：國殤紀念日流行於澳洲、加拿大與英國；虞美人花日（Poppy Day）通用於馬爾他和南非；退伍軍人日（Veterans Day）為美國人的稱呼；日本人將德文「Volkstrauertag」翻譯為國民哀悼日（日語：国民哀悼の日），專指德國的國殤紀念日；在法國、紐西蘭以及其他大英國協國家則稱為停戰日（Armistice Day），這也是此節日本來的名稱，為國際通用 。

因為在家閒閒沒事，所以就迷上了一個影集：heartland。

來多倫多將近一年了，這裡也荒廢了一年。
過了中秋後，最近天氣開始變冷，前幾周也是鮭魚洄游的旺季。

Life in Canada

 

Studying English is never easy, especially when you are in your country. However, it's also difficult to study abroad because you need to face new challenge in different country.
When I came to Toronto, I had insomnia in the first week due to jet lag. Besides, I didn't use to the cold weather as well as the transportataion. It was already 10-17 degree in September, and I only brought T-shirts, jeans and coats which were not enough. At that time, I was living at homestay that was from Iran. The food my host mother cooked was very delicious, but living there always made me feel like a fish without water. They spoke their language all the time and had many rules. Therefore, I could rarely practice my speaking. Fortunately, I only booked homestay for two months.
After I moved out, I started enjoying my life in Toronto. Cooking is my favorite habit after class, and supermarket shopping is my favorite activity also.

 
   This Christmas vacation, I went to the United State alone. I traveled to NYC, Washington D.C. and Boston for two weeks. Although I had bad experiences at couchsurfing, I still came back to Toronto safety. And the story was happening from this moment....
    I had a bad mood when I was in the airplane which was heading to Toronto Island airport, because it was my first time in Toronto Island airport, I didn't know how I can take a ferry back to DT and I got lost. I went out to find the way and I met him who was smoking.

Time flies, I have already stayed here for two months.

This is the most beautiful scene in this season.
 

Since I came to Toronto on 21th September, I studied English lessons from Monday to Friday, then, it's already the end of the month.
9月21日來到多倫多後，日復一日的讀英文，居然已經到了九月的最後一天了。
The weather here is colder than Taiwan, but I am getting familiar with it.
